We give back to the communities in which we live and work. Individually, and as a team, we support several causes and contribute to a variety of organizations. The community benefits, and we grow as individuals and a team as a result.
Here are a few of the initiatives we are proud to support:
IG Empower Your Tomorrow
As a Canadian company, we believe in giving back in ways that can make real and meaningful differences in communities from coast-to-coast. Our commitment starts with IG Empower Your Tomorrow, a program dedicated to increasing financial confidence of all Canadians.
By using our expertise in financial planning, we deliver foundational financial education and resources to Canadians who need it most. Through this work, we empower Indigenous Peoples, newcomers, seniors and youth to manage their personal finances with confidence. It’s these kinds of positive changes that help create stronger communities and a better future for everyone.
2023 Summer Initiatives
Our team has supported many charitable events over the years and recently we had the opportunity to sponsor two great initiatives on Grand Manan Island – a Splash Pad Fundraiser, and a Raffle to bring a dental unit to the local clinic! Most recently, we sponsored the Summerville Art Festival on the Kingston Peninsula. Thank you to those who joined us for the showcase of inspiring local artists work, and a day of rock-painting fun!
YMCA Strong Communities Campaign
Our team is a proud supporter of the YMCA. Tim’s brother Brice Belyea and wife Cathy Belyea are Honorary Strong Communities Campaign Chairs for 2022 so we were especially thrilled to “Accept the Challenge” to send a kid to camp this summer!
In Support of Grand Manan Pavilion Building Fund
In 2022 we were grateful to have the opportunity to host a great event in collaboration with The Grand Manan Rotary and members of the Farmers Market to raise funds for construction of an outdoor pavilion to host their weekly Farmers Market in addition to other community events. Our team hosted a Pig Roast in support of this project which included a raffle of a PIT Boss Smoker. The sold-out event raised a total of $3,493!
